AUTOMATIC PRESS FOR HAM FLATTENING MOD. PPJ
After the salting stage, the hams are washed and processed through the former to recover their initial rounded shape. Subsequently, superior pressing/flattening of the hams can be carried out. For this function, this automatic press has been designed that can be installed on the same work line. With this press, a reduction in the height of the ham mace is achieved and, at the same time, a much more regular shape in the height of all the pieces.
Once the ham is placed on the conveyor belt, it goes to the pressing area, where a pneumatic upper presser descends on the ham, applying pressure for the programmed time that we consider necessary. The pressing/flattening operation can be carried out at various stages of the ham process. The most important is after salting, but it can also be carried out during or after post-salting, before entering the dryers.
